About Stoophunt

What is Stoophunt?

If you have ever refreshed StreetEasy, scrolled three Facebook housing groups, and checked Craigslist in the same hour, you already know the problem Stoophunt solves. Stoophunt is a single board for NYC rentals and rooms — broker listings next to group posts — with real filters instead of a dozen separate tabs.

One board, many sources

StreetEasy covers brokered apartments. Facebook groups surface rooms, sublets, and lease takeovers that never hit a listing site. Craigslist still posts deals at odd hours. Ohana, Listings Project, SpareRoom, June Homes, and HousingAnywhere fill other gaps.

Stoophunt gathers those sources into one feed. You filter by price, beds (including rooms), neighborhood, and freshness once — then open the exact post on the original site.

Who it is for

Stoophunt is for people actively hunting in New York City: first-time renters, roommate seekers, subletter hunters, and anyone tired of copying the same filters into five apps.

We are not a broker, landlord, or property manager. Listings are third-party posts. Stoophunt helps you find them faster; you still verify and tour on your own.

How to try it

Go to stoophunt.com and browse the board. Without a pass you see most listings; some stay on Hunt Pass. A Hunt Pass unlocks every listing, alerts, and saved searches. There is a 72-hour trial with a card on file, then $5.99 per month until you cancel.

If you found us on TikTok and cannot tap a bio link, search "Stoophunt" or "stoop hunt" on Google — that is the fastest way to the site.
